SMU'S commercials

Why does the university continue to air those horrible cartoon commercials about the God particle and drinking water in Africa. I would much rather see the generic student or at least the flyover campus and surrounding town versions of college commercials.

I tried emailing the university about this, but typical I got no response. The only response I have ever gotten was a reply from Patti LaSalle saying she would forward on my email regarding SMU's lack of social media compared to other texas schools and "peer" institutions. I think I have friends with more followers than they do.

It is an absolutely awful commercial. No idea why you wouldn't want to show our beautiful campus off. That's sorta the whole point of college commercials

especially with meadow arts or business marketing majors would jump at the change to product something else with more appeal. have a contest like the frido lay super bowl commercials.

We have had ridiculous and embarrassing commercials for years now.

Hopefully this will change soon!

we paid a bunch of money to try to be different. Different was achieved, however it is not appealing. we need to admit it and change back to the normal commercials the show our strengths . The cartoon thing does not show our strengths.

That commercial is the worst. I cringe when I see it.
SMU has beautiful students and a beautiful campus in a beautiful city. Yet, our ad department makes a commercial in which everything looks ugly and gross and there's a 4-armed monster woman. What are they thinking? And even worse, why are they still airing it? It should have been canned months ago. They desperately need to get on this. Good initiative op.

It's pathetic. Can't believe anyone ever signed off on it.

It is really creepy. I actually took some online survey about our marketing recently and ripped that commercial to shreds. Either we are in the minority or they just don't listen

Everyone I have ever talked to thinks that it is the worst. What makes it sad is that CBS can put together a montage from a basketball game that makes the school and team look super impressive by halftime just using that day's clips.

It reminds me of a SMU yearbook that was published either in 1972 and 1973. It too had the look of "my little pony"!!!

SMU commercials are pathetic and do not emphasize our top level areas of academic study and national recognition.

My friend and local Dallasite Jack Unruh is an internationally-recognized, award winning illustrator. I like the ads.
