Grand Jury failed to indict, so no. Charges dropped.

It is always interesting to see Title IX applied in a non-athletic application.

No, it could be. At issue are cases where a party feels that the case was mishandled or treated differently based on gender. Title IX broadly prohibits gender based discrimination.

In a large number of these cases outside of SMU (or maybe including, under FERPA, and a variety of other guideline, records are private and schools can't disclose why they're being investigated), the argument is that women were silenced.

This whole thing nationwide is a mess. The policies need to be fixed, students need to be better informed and kids need to behave and be careful.

And people need to take responsibility for their decisions and not blame others for their own decisions after the fact.

Of course we did - they love trumpeting bad news about us. Anybody see the Fox 4 report yesterday where they went out of their way to find unflattering shots from campus? A peeling sign, a window frame that was peeling and needed painting, a shot of a parking lot, and the entrance to one of the old dorms.............

Maybe it's because SMU is actively working on this area and more people feel comfortable reporting the assaults.

Title IX is being used to investigate SMU for a sexual assault on a male? That is stretching the statute a bit, I think. We put in the Bush Library and now we're on Holder's hit list.

This was man on man, so explain gender disparity in this case or where the woman felt silenced.

I would not be surprised. The WH mob is on search and destroy mode. No red organizations are safe.
