Crazy to see this pic of the intersection 100 years ago. Isn't SE corner of that intersection where the law school currently sits? BTW, @FlashbackDallas is a cool follow.

That's pretty cool. I always enjoy seeing old photographs of Dallas and the University.

The law school is on the NE corner of that intersection, with the Perkins Administation Building and McFarlin Auditorium on the SE corner.
Really cool photo, thanks for sharing here!

That's a really big house for those days. Who gave the land the land to SMU?

Cool! That pic would have been taken from what would be the exit of the Meadows parking garage, about fifty yards from the SMU entrance monument at the head of the Boulevard.
It's a pic of a church being built. Large parts of the bell tower and roof are missing.

Some of the land on the north side of SMU and Snider Plaza from Turtle Creek to Greenville was originally settled by the Daniels/Harlan family whose matriarchs were Sims sisters of my original Texas direct line (Jane Sims) and came from Tennessee with members of my family. Many of the original residents of that area are buried in the Daniels Cemetery behind the sorority houses. Here's a link to a story about the original settlors of the area on the North side of the campus and Snider Plaza which lists those buried in the cemetary. About 5 of my family line are buried there. Jay Daniels and his Mom at the old Daniels Cleaners just down the road from the picture were the Custodians of the key to the Cemetery. Some of you local residents might recognize relatives buried there including the names of many prominent Park Cities pioneer families
