Natatorium almost downThe main roof structure over the pool just came down. Sorry to see it go but will be a nice new structure soon enough.

Re: Natatorium almost downBreaking ground on the new drive-thru Beer Barn tomorrow. Should be ready for Saturday's Boulevard
Re: Natatorium almost downYeah, I saw that, too. Are they simply building a new one? Or are they using it for something else?
Re: Natatorium almost downAlumni Center.
By the way, I was talking informally with a woman who is very involved in UP politics. She's involved in the creation of a new natatorium for the city. I asked her why SMU didn't join with UP and build a facility we could both use? Put it right where the existing Chase building is. Condemn the Chase buidling if necessary.
Re: Natatorium almost downI think the alumni center was supposed to go where either Sigma Chi is, or another fraternity.
If they are tearing down perkins... where are the plans for a new facility? I have not seen / heard anything!
Re: Natatorium almost down
Was the Alumni Center the final decision? It was one of four uses up for consideration as of late May (others: Cox classrooms, Meadows classrooms, new student center)
Re: Natatorium almost downOh, I don't know. I didn't realize there were other choices. I heard alumni center about six months ago.
Re: Natatorium almost downIndoor Sewell red-zone practice facility.
Re: Natatorium almost downThey haven't made a final decision yet
Re: Natatorium almost downI see my video posting didn't work. Ugh. As I was leaving campus this afternoon the entire roof was gone. Essentially all that was left was the facade and some ruble.
Re: Natatorium almost down
Hphs is in talks with UP to partner with and enhance the existing outdoor facility on Lovers so the high school can add classrooms.
Re: Natatorium almost downI did my normal run through campus early Monday morning and all that remained were the front arches. It looked like Roman ruins.
