stop with the earthquakes in Dallas. My building just shook for three seconds. I've lived in LA (screen name, duh?), THAT was a real earthquake. This is starting to freak me out.

Some members of the Republican Party warned us that God would use earthquakes and other forms of punishment in response to our allowing gay marriage. We were warned. These earthquakes shouldn't surprise us.

Felt it in downtown Dallas. First one I've actually felt out of all of these.
Kind of disconcerting.

Are the buildings in this area built with earthquakes in mind???

Felt it between Love Field and I-35. Floor, window and ceiling shook. I'm still a little jittery, but one co-worker threw up and started crying (apparently went through one too many back in California). No damage done, other than to everyone's nerves.

I know in SoCal the buildings are now built with steel so they can bend. I'm sure most here are concrete and would have no chance in a sizable quake. We joke but a 5.0 or higher quake around here could be disastrous.
It's the no warning that freaks me out. I have no idea if bigger ones are possible here but the the thought scares me.
