Yep, I won't rehash my previous posts about this when it was posted on the basketball board but the bottom line is that while this is so much better than the cartoon, it's still got a ton of drawbacks that I am surprised they overlooked before accepting this from their agency.

I honestly don't understand them. Why promote programs that the vast majority might not even know exist.

Here's an Easy commercial, sweeping view of Dallas, (8th largest metroplex in the US, home to XXX amount of XXX companies, XXX amount of alumni and XXX growing in population/jobs), transition from Dallas to SMU campus with a focusing in on Dallas Hall and main quad. Show students at sports, show students "studying" show students walking to class. Show the trees of the boulevard with students. (say something about student body demographics, and sports) Remind them of "Dallas" and mustang express.

really i applied to smu based on their "running mustang" new student website in 2006. seeing the horrible commercials would make me think twice as a high schooler. they don't do anything for an 17/18 year old.

if graduate students is the demographic or money, run different ads. But ESPN is for those interested in sports and student life.

Look at who controls education. This liberal artsy stuff is what they view higher education should be.
