Why and where would these students live? Would you want to increase the graduate school or are you saying double the undergrad?

Classroom space for one thing. Do you want to increase class sizes? I believe the graduate schools have been increasing enrollment, esp. Cox, Lyle and Simmons.

it is REEEEEALY hard to increase quality at the same time you are adding bodies. The main reason we want to stay the same undergrad size is that the administration is possessed by breaking into the top 50 - and you cant do that while you expand the school unless you about double your COMPLETED applications. We have increased our apps greatly but not double where we were a couple of years ago.

I personally would rather see us start to inch up to 1800 a class instead of 1450. That would make a huge difference within three years in lots of areas. There is plenty of room in both classes and dorms to absorb those extra bodies. We would be much more efficient financially also (spreading fixed cost of the campus over an extra 1400 students).
