In the late 1960's, parts of the movie Bonnie and Clyde were shot on Greenville Ave., near or just north of Northwest Hwy. SMU's Morgan Fairchild was the double, stand-in for Faye Dunaway.

During the fall semester of 1970 extras for the movie, The Last Picture Show were recruited at SMU for the swimming pool scene, and other shots.
