I wasn't aware of this story. Monika Korra's, former cross country runner from Norway, story is remarkable, including her recovery.

Was a very good event tonight. Timely also given all the pub having to do with what's going on at Baylor.

Serious question - will there be an event for her at the game?

I listened to her interview on KERA radio today. All I can say is she is one emotionally and psychologically strong woman. Kudos to her for what she is doing to help others that have been through what she has been through. Proud she is one of ours.

Here is the interview...well worth a listen.

Reading things like this and the most recent Baylor story just infuriate me... Some people call for the death penalty for rapists but I'm more sadistic than that... I want any sonofabitch that rapes a woman to be castrated... using no anesthesia and a blunt, rusty knife. If he doesn't die of infection, he's still a *#&$*@% eunuch for the rest of his miserable life.

Edited to add... The woman the pos raped and her family should have full rights to beat the pos unconscious at any time they like... if he resists, he gets restrained and they get a baseball bat.

Korra said she learned to keep moving forward... and that in the end, the strong survive.

When rapists get to prison, they either continue their ways or receive similar treatment. Either you're the butch or you're the b*$ch.

Hugely successful event last week — thanks to everyone who showed up. The room was just about full (larger crowd than expected), and the book sold well all night. Lots of people bought multiple copies.

For those who didn't make it, I would strongly urge you to buy a copy of the book — either at Barnes & Noble or at this link:

Her story is all too common — far more people know someone who has been assaulted than they realize. Read the book, and discuss it. It's an issue that has to be talked about for anything to change.

She was on SportsCenter again Tuesday. If anyone can figure out how to find it (6 PM broadcast) and share the link, that would be greatly appreciated.
