The site redactors didn't like my listing over on the Football panel so I'll try it here.
For all that Kenneth did for SMU...this award is for YOU.

Who do you think should be a recipient ?

I'm a young fan who is so sick of hearing about Pye. Get over it. The battered woman thing isn't attracting people to the program.

Clearly I don't care about things that went down when I was a toddler.

A lot of things happened prior, but all things considered i would rather hear more about Pye than He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. As a young alumni with no prior connections I still don't know the full back story and it is interesting from an athletics point of view.

Well for starters, Pye basically gave the athletics keys over to the faculty senate. The DP was all about paying players, but one of the most onerous new requirements for recruiting put forth by the university after the DP was that a recruit could not make an official visit until he had been accepted for enrollment by the University. Now how many kids are going to screw with that in their senior year when every other school would let you make an official visit any time. Also, we set up higher academic requirements then for acceptance than most if not all other schools. Mind you, academics was not the issue of the DP.

BigT3x - Don't believe you are young, since everything you post is bitter. You must be an 80 year old in a young persons body.

Because of Pye we are being considered by other conferences despite athletics due to the academic boost

T'is true t'is true. I've heard both Michael Slive and Greg Sankey remark many times "Wow did you see SMU's incoming freshman SAT average scores.......man I wish they were in our conference"

Lol Pye is 10x worse than June Jones. JJ brought us to 4 bowl games before he mailed it in.

Ignoring it and laying down on the floor, sucking your thumb and crying over it are two different things
