College admissions scam

Just saw where UT athletics was given over $560,000 to gain admissions for dumb, rich kids. Hmmmm.

If some school wants admit, or put on a sports scholarship the dumb and / or clumsy child of a well off parent (or friend of a parent in a scratch each other's backs deal) well, mistakes in recruiting are made every year.

Well, no. If the President of the school, the Board of Directors, and the AD all knew about it then it would be a 'lack of institutional control.' But since then coach openly lied to the school then it's a felony, and that [deleted] could be facing major charges. No Quarter wrote:Much as I might like to see some P5 schools get stung I'm hard put to see how the NCAA has a play in this. The problem as some see it is the inherent lowered academic standards that athletes are given in order to gain admission. If such differences weren't allowed, then there wouldn't have been this part of the scandal to begin with. Can't say I don't agree with them on that.
