#4 Los Altos, CA comes in with a $4,451,059 average home value and $401K household income. With 40% effective tax rate, it would take over 18 years to buy a house with no spending otherwise. Lots of stock option buying?

#13 Southlake has $360K average household income and $1.24M average home value. They can pay off their homes more quickly than UP and certainly Los Altos (#4 overall household income).
