Re: Yanickhttp://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/lsu-tiger ... 403240515/
he had 5 minutes, no points 1 rebound. Seems he had his chance to prove he is worthy of more time after complaining on twitter and didn't produce. only saw the game on TV but if I'm missing something, someone please go ahead and clarify.
Re: YanickI sort of had mixed reviews of him last night. He looked a little out of synch on both sides of the ball and I had hoped he would be stronger on the boards with the time he had. I have no doubt it will all click for him again, just not sure it will during the NIT.

GO MUSTANGS!!!!
Re: YanickI think Larry handled the Yanick situation perfectly. Didn't rip him in the media. Gave him a shot.
Re: Yanick
Yep and got swatted once. I think he needs more than 5 minutes to get a true gauge but he didn't exactly light it up.
Re: YanickI am over this Yanick situation....he looked bad again last night (granted he only played 5 mins but he did not look like he wanted to be on the court in my opinion).
I really like how Ben Moore and Kennedy have been playing this year. I think Ben is only going to improve and I looked forward to seeing him play more next year.
Re: YanickBen is a VERY talented, mature and balanced player. We always do well when he is in the game. Love to watch him drive and do those little lay-ins off the glass. I think it is about two steps from the three point line and up.
Re: Yanick
I think you're right. I was one of the biggest head-scratchers on the board about this situation, but after watching him last night, I think the reality probably is that he's just not as good as the other guys right now. He does seem lost on both ends at times and did not seem to have the fundamentals to defend LSU's bigs. I'm beginning to think that his success early in the year was a function of the weak competition and him being the tallest player on the floor. In other words, he didn't have to employ skills to be effective.
Re: Yanick
Ben and Sterling will be the glue players we need to bridge from this experienced group over into a 2015 class full of talented, but no experience, freshmen. Sterling, physically, is already there. Ben, with the hope of about 20-30 more pounds of muscle, should be a beast by then. Assuming they stay through their senior years that is. Will be really fun to watch the growth.
Re: YanickI disagree with "he didn't look like he wanted to be on the court." He was sprinting back on d and on o the whole time he was in. Just didn't have enough time to really do much
Re: YanickYanick's tweets yesterday:

Let's get better tomorrow at practice and get ready for Wednesday I don't know what LB said to him, but it's working "[College] referees couldn't manage a White Castle." -Mark Cuban

Re: YanickYM showed great energy on the court and was in a great mood during warmups. Obviously understands the situation.
Re: YanickI too have been concerned with his play when on the floor. Have to give it to the kid though, he didn't keep digging his hole.
