Turner's Texas Visit This WeekendI don't think anyone expects him to commit while there, but a lot of people on the Texas side are feeling confident about landing him eventually. Anyone up for talking me off the ledge?
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekendi'm going to be in austin this weekend. I'll find him and sit him down

A good bit of SMU chatter for Myles Turner. Local darkhorse fighting Kansas & Texas http://bit.ly/1dxa8u7
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekendalso noticed that the Baylor writer just switched pick to SMU yesterday, after having KU since january...
...hmmm
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekendactually the visit ends today-I believe
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This WeekendNo reason to jump, but I'd prepare for a commitment to Texas because I think it's coming. They were the leader prior to this year, Hoopman also alluded to this back in January. They were always the leader, turned dark horse when Barnes job stability got a shot of adrenaline.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekend
And Texas gave Barnes the dreaded one year vote of confidence.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekendyou are correct Stallion, I shouldn't have said weekend. Arrived late Wednesday and supposed to leave today.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This WeekendCan LB and Staff schedule a last minute "in-home" visit with Myles Turner? This is the time. Momentum is on our side. Why not?
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This WeekendHas he ever taken an "official" visit to SMU?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekend
No, but even if we were top of his list he probably wouldn't since we're practically in his backyard and 'unofficials' are convenient.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekend
Need an official. So much more you can do for a recruit on an official vs unofficial.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This WeekendWho really cares about official visits vs. unofficial visits for local recruits? (especially since Myles Turner is local) Isn't an in-home visit warranted with Myles Turner and family? Isn't an in-home visit easily accomplished for any local recruits?
LB gets on a plane and travels to the east coast and the west coast for recruiting. In-home visits seem pretty logical especially for local recruits. In-home visits should be our ace in the hole for all local recruits.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekend
That might be true, but since we're a "dark horse" candidate at best it's still not surprising. Do prospective student-athletes frequently use an 'official' on local schools? I'd always assumed they saved them for the longer trips.
Re: Turner's Texas Visit This Weekend
I'm sure they've done (and, if necessary, are still doing) whatever they can. Have you seen evidence that they aren't that is leading you to keep reapeating this? I'd be interested to hear about it if you have.
