Report from Omaha that LB wants Jordan Cornish from New Orleans. He had previously committed to Tennessee.

I like what I see what from the interview with the NOLA paper guy. Seems like a humble, mature kid. If he has work ethic and competitive fire, we're in business.

Re: Jordan Cornish
Yes - we definitely want Cornish - especially if he is named Jordan.
I'm not sure we want Punter - I'm afraid he would try to kick the ball.
(I know that is a bad joke, but I couldn't resist.)

We need a Punter that's good for a 40+ yard average. Don't care what his first name is.The Falcon wrote:Yes - we definitely want Cornish - especially if he is named Jordan.

Re: Jordan Cornish
Maybe June can offer Punter after he puts a "Punter needed" ad in his high school. Then don't call him until he commits.max the wonder dog wrote:We need a Punter that's good for a 40+ yard average. We, for once, actually did not want him anyway. It's a milestone.

Re: Jordan Cornish
That is a very demeaning statement about the committee which I chair and have for decades. We are very proud that we have never lost a recruit that we wanted since the 1950's.ponyboy wrote:We, for once, actually did not want him anyway. It's a milestone.

Re: Jordan Cornish
I thought the WDNWHA committed voted against Cornish and that is why the coaching staff pulled the offer?

Re: Jordan Cornish
That is the case. But it is not a milestone event. We have been determining we did not want good players for decades.
