the guy played a pretty good game. Yes, he fumbled as he was about to score and threw one ugly INT, but overall I thought he played well and appears to have earned the starting QB spot. Now, if we could only find some reliable receivers.
I want to see Givens catch a pass...soon! He does seem to have a knack for beating guys deep.

I thought he played about as well could be expected when considering our receivers dropped 5-6 passes.

I like Romo alot. He has good game presence and he can do many different things with the ball. We looked good at times but anytime you have that many mistakes early on, it is difficult to recover from the snowball effect. Anyway, better luck next week. I think we ahve a chance at winning out division this year. I watched the UTEP/Houston game and we can compete.

Hey Bo- I noticed your Pearce Mustangs are 3-0?! Sounds like they have some good things going on.

Jerad Romo is a better passer than we thought.
He got hurt by dropped passes, but stayed the course.
He runs well, although A&M clearly was daring us to beat them through the air.
He's tough -- got into it with a defensive tackle (Baylor game).
I like the guy.
Go MUSTANGS.
Beat Tulane!
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!

I met him at the happy hour and he is extremely polite and a real class act.

Hats off to Romo -- he played his heart out, and with the exception of the fumble and the INT at the end of the half, he played pretty well. Here's to a huge game against Tulane!

Romo did do a good job. But, his receivers were dropping easy passes that should've been caught.

Romo is a tough kid who did a great job. If he had a more experienced reciever or two, we still would not have won it, but we would have made them very uncomfortable. With Romo and Martin and this defense, we'll do just fine in the CUSA. We may not win it, but we should be in every other game this season.
And yes, I saw the third quarter, and yes, we still have more of those in store for us gang, but we should see fewer of them.
Support the Commitment! We're all SMU Mustangs fans- we should all be committed!

I was talking about the second half of the UTEP/UH game where both teams looked extremely explosive.

Let's hope Romo continues to improve week after week and that Chris Phillips watches and learns along with our RS Fr QBs. We're going to need someone to step in next year and make sure we don't take a giant step backwards at the QB position. Even in a blowout, I was not disappointed in Romo (except when he fumbled as he was flirting with the goal line)

Romo impressed me with his mostly on the money passes, even the ones in tight coverage that SHOULD have been caught but weren't.
Still don't know if that INT was his fault or the receivers...
Turnovers count, but I didnt thing they were his fault.
