Agreed, I could see Manuel at 10/15 MPG.

And I can't find any minutes for Moreira.

I'm guessing the player you list first is the starter? If so, not sure how Markus is not starting. The CBS writer has him as preseason AAC Player of the Year. Pretty sure that guy should start.

The way I see it:
PG: Mudiay 25, Nic 15
SG: Nic 15, Mudiay 10, Frazier 15
SF: Brown 20, Manuel 10, Ben 10
PF: Markus 25, Tolbert 10, Ben 5
C: Yanick 20, Cannen 15, Tolbert 5

Xavier transfer Justin Martin has pushed back SMU visit to beginning of next week, source told @CBSSports. FSU + West Virginia also in mix.

I really think our depth chart is a detriment in this case. A guy like this could start on most teams but where do you find sufficient minutes for him here? Eman and Nic are locked in as starters. There will be a good competition for the spot Sterling occupied last season at the three but I think Brown favors a defensive minded glue guy there….like Sterling. Four and five are plenty deep as well.

If Martin comes this way I see minutes at two and minutes at three. The question is will that be enough to satisfy a guy who is having his last hurrah?

It's really interesting when you start getting specific with the minutes. What a tough job LB has with spreading them out and keeping everyone happy because we've got a roster full of quality players who deserve to play. I guess it's a good problem to have.

This Is tough.

PG: Mudiay 25 Nic 15
SG: Nic 15 keith 20 Mudiay 5
SF: Sterling 20 Ryan 10 Tolbert 10
PF: Markus 10 Ben 20 Tolbert 10
C: Cannen 15 Markus 20 Yanick 5, more if Cannen is in foul mode.

If Martin comes he sucks up Ryan's minutes and gets 10-15 at shooting guard.

Editing now that we have Martin (and assuming Tolbert plays next season): 3 really solidly deep at every position . . wish we just had one more great ball handler (or maybe Frazier and/or Head suddenly get great handles over the summer) and I'd be ready to say Sweet 16 or bust baby!

Mudiay/Nic/Manuel
Nic/Frazier/Mudiay/Manuel/Martin?
Brown/Tolbert/Martin (maybe not in that order ultimately)
Tolbert/Ben/Markus
Markus/Cannen/Yanick

It's really 3 guards (Mudiay/Nic/Sterling) and 2 centers (Tolbert and Markus). That's the way LB sees it ("there are 2 positions in bball: guard and center"). The specific positions therein don't really matter. Nic and Mudiay will play interchangeably at PG and SG, Frazier will almost exclusively play SG, Sterling will play SG/SF and Tolbert will be SF/PF and Markus will play C (although IMHO he is a PF). Then you have Manuel, Ben, and Cannen as the primary guard and center backups and Yanick coming in every once and a while for fouls and Head for a few minutes here and there for some games. That's about it. In some ways it's great depth (Cannen is really a dream for a coach - he's really a starter but is a huge talent off the bench IMHO and very versatile). Then Sterling is your glue guy. Sure would love one more shooter/ball handler in that lineup (Frazier?). If B. Moore bulks up a bit and Frazier can play like the MCDAA he can be, then wow.

I seriously doubt there will be much, if any, time that Nic and Eman are on the beach together. I also think a lot of this depends on who progresses the most from last season....especially the bigs. Hopefully Ben has a breakout year, Cannen becomes more consistent, Yanick gets fully recovered and improves and Tolbert fits in.

This depth also will be helpful when the inevitable injury occurs. Again, looking at last year it seems we actually took a step up when Yanick went down.

Why are Nic and Eman going to the beach together when they should be getting ready for basketball,

So now that we apparently got Martin who wants to guess where the minutes are going to go?

i would not be surprised if something opens up. Just saying, most programs at this level have a casualty or two along the way (academics or playing time issues)
