Actually all of our non-conference won't count towards the bowl eligibility. Only two of those can count. So 4 conference wins.....

Hmmm, ok.
Well, if that's the case, then I will take back the compliment about his bowl strategy and stick with my initial viewpoint which is he's an [deleted]!

as I've said many times this has a lot less to do with scheduling pansies and a lot more to do with scheduling 3 non-conference home games. CASH Attendance was 50,171. Why play a bad but recognizable team like SMU, New Mexico, UTEP who will want a home and home when you can play SHSU for about $200-400,000 without having a return. If Tech got $40 for each fan including tickets, concessions and parking that's about $2,000,000. Think about it. Not to mention the home team controls TV rights and the fact Tech saves on travel costs.

Next week Texas Tech plays Indiana St. who is 0-3 and has lost to something called St. Francis 42-10. Indiana St. first 3 games have been before crowds of between 3,000-5,000 people. Don't count on a return date. They currently on a 9 game losing streak.

I can't believe you even wasted your time paying attention to that fiasco in Lubbock, Stallion.

Since you were so focused on this game, I'm surprised you also didn't mention that SHSU's starting QB Noah Allen (OU transfer) was suspended for the remainder of the season only two days before the TT contest for alleged steroid use.

FYI: SHSU's paycheck for that abortion was $300,000. Not enough, IMO.

Fact: 2nd and 3rd stringers can't be accused of running up the score unless they are throwing bombs for the endzone and are kicking onsides kicks. Just running your base offense with a bunch of scrubs is NOT RUNNING UP THE SCORE.

Fact: Leach at one point called 6 or 7 rushing plays in a row. That is unheard of with this offense. If that's not pulling the reigns, I don't know what is.

Fact: For the first time ever under the Leach era, the 3rd string QB (a walk-on, no less) played in a real, live game.

With that said...I hope more than anything that after Tulane the Ponies are 2-2 and on the way to a fantastic season!!!

That walk-on was Ryan Rowland. He was at SMU a couple of years ago. I wish SMU could be accused of running up the score on anybody! LOL

Maybe we should have asked all our walkons to tie their hands behind their backs.

"Hey, thanks for putting in all the time in practice guys. And even though this is the only time in your lives you're ever going to sniff a playing field, we'd like you to kneel three times and punt for the entire 4th quarter. Have fun!"

Something along those lines?

- Blow out 3 small schools, then only need to win 3 conference games to be bowl eligible.

I love how a 1 year schedule aberration makes people want to burn Texas Tech to the ground. Don't you remember that we have played: Ohio State, NC State twice, Ole Miss twice, TCU, Tennesseee, Georgia etc. in the past several years?

Learn something or quit bashing Tech.

Spike was loved because he was a great guy and did not challenge the system of Tech being the quiet guy in the back who never really disturbed anyone. Now that we are becoming a more powerful program, people hate to see it because we are Tech, and most people know nothing of the real Tech.
Southern, Texan, American - in that order.

If you are a school that is pimping its program to receive a big payout by playing a team from the Cartel, expect an [deleted] whipping and don't [deleted] about it. We should even care less. I hope Tech does hang a hundred on their weekend patsie.

My only interest is that they keep everyone healthy so they can beat the Steers in Austin.

Feed the insanity!
