Couldn't agree more. I will also take the guy with established track record against ACC competition vs a high schooler who happened to get hot during the LBJ academy.

In terms of getting time for your kid, you cant. He plays whoever he damn well pleases, not rankings or press clippings. Most of you and Keith Frazier got a good taste last season. Heck, Lebron & Melo got a great taste in the 04 Olympics. IF he has an option he likes better, he'll use it, politics or not
If I was Matt McQuaid or his Dad, I would have been on the phone demanding an explanation the day Emegolu committed. I'm not saying I would have had my kid de-commit, but you aren't bringing in an established ACC 2, that averaged double digits and was team captain as a frosh,at my kids position, in his same class. Sorry, we got what was coming to us. Just hope they like Ben more than Matt
I have full confidence in LB. He knew the potential impact on McQuaid yet still went after Emegolu.
Could be LB likes Emegolu's chances of eligibility this year.
Plus, there are still some VERY talented 2 guards uncommitted. Allonzo Trier is an absolute scoring machine. We offered him a while back. He was named the EYBL MVP.
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

He's talented, but also the biggest baby I've ever seen and not a team player.
All I know is I like the position we are in for 2015. 2014 only slightly less. Somebody has to ride the pine. As a player that is not easy to except. We are way deep and LB has a challenge to work in all those players while keeping continuity during the game.

Not doubting you, but are you positive SMU offered. Maybe it was like you said a while back and I just don't remember. He has quite a number of offers out there, I just can't find an SMU offer.

At the EYBL Dallas weekend I was told by someone in the know we had offered. Also, Rivals shows an SMU offer.

I'm friendly with one of his handlers who told me SMU offered. But I don't think we're really in the mix.
I'll ask.
With Creighton basically losing every starter from last year's team, and McQuaid being a heavy lean that way earlier, I could see him actually choosing the Blue Jays over more highly-regarded programs.
