He was from Hallsville near Longview, NOT Lake Highlands. I remember my brother starter
on Longview's #2 state ranked team while I was at SMU in fall 72 calling him GATOR

When I was a kid, my dad got free sideline passes to a Cowboy's pre-season game. To this day, I remember how big he looked in person.
