The Far End of the Bench

Postby sadderbudweiser » Mon Sep 29, 2014 5:34 am

Can we not get 5-10 minutes of point guard work from Dunleavy or Wilfong when needed? I have no idea.
Given the fact that we all know what the Achilles heel on this team is...I've seen no discussion of these guys here.

Help me out here folks. What, if any, roll could either play?

The most important thing they can do is probably join the Keith Frazier towel waving club. I don't want them to have any more contribution than that.

Seriously recommending Dunleavy or Wilfong to get 10 minutes?

Come on, this isn't serious, is it? There is no reason to discuss it is an option because its not even remotely a consideration.

Manuel can handle the PG duty fine when needed in a pinch, its not ideal, but he will be fine and I think people are overlooking that.

Guessing the original poster did not catch any of the times either of those two played last year. Not great success.

...but per 40 min., Wilfong would average 21 pts a game.

During times when those guys got in, it was a disaster. No lead was big enough. Not the answer.

I only remember one game where the lack of a true back up PG cost us a game or was disasterous, Louisville. I believe Sterling is very capable.

He was talking about the walkons the original poster suggested could play 10 minutes a game, not anyone who appeared in a game that was in doubt.

Suggesting ideas on a message board like PF is equivalent to people who take their legal problems to their congressman instead of an attorney.

Actually more like taking your legal problems to your plumber.
