Well doesn't the guy calling the plays usually get the play call from the booth?

I bet someone forgot to tell Patterson that the turkeys were for the food bank. Watch TCU's offensive production plummet once Patterson finds out he's not allowed to eat all the turkeys.

Maybe we should have donated a turkey per punt. We'll probably have more punts than points this year.

You have a lot of confidence in our offense's ability to not turn the ball over

I worry Patterson won't let him interview until playoffs are over. SMU can't wait that long.

It would be perfect if we could hire him right before bowl season and hence crush TCU's postseason

Patterson certainly wouldn't let Meacham or Cumbie interview with SMU early since he isn't helping us anymore.

Both of them can find jobs elsewhere if need be. What do they have to lose? Defy the [Gary Patterson]!

There are plenty of good coordinators from which to choose if we go that route. Whoever we select will only be as good as his desire to be here and build a base of qualified recruiting assistants. I do not believe in selecting the coordinator on what he is doing with the plethora of talent he has now. I want to know if he can build a plethora of talent at SMU. I still recall the excitement around Bennett which turned out to be only the fact that he is a good coordinator. There is a lot more to it than being able to call plays with an excess of talent.
