What is painful is the fact we did not do what needed to be done to be in that position. This should serve as a lesson to SMU and its excuse makers.

Just in the past 12 months:

Basketball wins 20 plus games, gets ranked, beats the eventual national champion twice, and becomes first team in over 20 years to be ranked and not make the tournament

Basketball signs the #1 recruit in the nation from right here in Dallas that would've put us in position to potentially be Top 10....Said recruit leaves us in the lurch and heads to China

Football is on pace to be one of if not the worst college football program in history with a coach that quits after being humiliated by local midgets North Texas.

TCU on pace to potentially play for a national title.

And you are all loving it. Peruna's law is in your heads. Stupid victim mentality will get us nowhere.

Your thinking that SMU is condemned to all that "misfortune" like we are the only ones that crappy things happen to. It could happen to anyone, just get up, move on and try harder.

I understand the animosity on the board for TCU. I am not an SMU alum, and I know I will get ripped for this ... but I'm glad for TCU and hope they make a run at it. Their success and world has nothing to do with us, we control our own fate. It is up to us, TCU has nothing to do with it. Another small private school and former SWC foe who has fought the uphill battle that is Mid-Tier conference acceptance, and taking at shot at the fair haired chosen ones ... He$$ yes.

I'd rather watch an ISIS beheading than TCU in the playoff

Not when another small private school and former SWC foe Baylor is more deserving.
