Best Thing I Saw Last Night

Was that the team played HARD all game long. That's just a sign of a true championship type team. I enjoyed that the most - the guys seemed really intense and focused and played really hard for the entire game. Football team, that's how it's done. (note for next year's team).

Agree. They had sloppy moments, but they were not sloppy even when up 40.

It is nice to watch a game where you're up big and keep playing hard/well. Those games are getting rare these days in ncaa basketball. And yes, I know Lamar is not that good.

Agree. I felt the same way as when I watched the open practice - I was pretty much full- throttle the whole way. Other observations:

Good:
1. for the most part, I thought they handled full-court press well, and certainly better than last year. They looked very coached-up on this, which is good, because they are going to get pressed all year.
2. Yanick looked as good as I've seen him. He's going to help us a ton this year, I think

Bad:
1. Like the beginning of last year, the team played like it lacked an identity in the half court offense, and seemed to score many of its points by virtue of being bigger and more athletic than its opponent, which was visible by all the points in the paint
2. I'm sorry, but Keith still looks lost out there to me. Not as bad as last year, but still seems to be the most clueless guy on offense. I do give him props for trying to single-handedly resurrect "short shorts" from their 25-year hibernation

I agree with you re Fraiser. Kid still seems to be lost on defense, committed some stupid fouls and took some bad shots. Seems like he has low basketball IQ thus far.

I agree. Brown started him over sterling for a reason. Lets hope it was an off night and that he has been playing well in practice.

No, I mean the entire fan base. He has been touted as the Great Dallas Area Recruit to save our program by opening the Dallas pipeline. Some people thrive on that. I personally think it is hampering him.
