Don't forget about the no-hitter.
Re: Funeral Announcement
It was a miserable rainy day in Norman Oklahoma I believe. 30-0. I remember going to game and being shocked that the famed Oklahoma Sooners played in a stadium with a dirt concourse under the stands. Apparently, the world was a little different outside of North Dallas "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Funeral AnnouncementNo, I remember that game. Pruitt ran for about 1000 yards. I believe the Flying Wishbone was attempted against a Cotton Bowl visiting non conference team, perhaps New Mexico State. Would have been 1971 which was the same year of the 30-0 Oklahoma I believe. Split out two wide receivers and other than that, standard wishbone. Learned very quickly with no TE on either side, the DEs crashed down and killed Gary before he could handoff or pitch. Worked great in practice when our DEs stayed outside for the option, but the play never got that far in reality.
In that Oklahoma game, our DEs were schooled in running towards the sideline as fast as possible to keep Pruitt from getting outside. They did, he cut up the field inside of them, and that defensive scheme failed. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
