FWIW, this is 3rd game I've noticed at least one student getting ejected. I believe the Arkansas and EWU ejections were alcohol related.

Is this thread serious? Are they really throwing out students for giving the other team crap?

I'm sure it was overzealous security, but it IS possible to be rowdy, disruptive, clever, and intimidating without using actual profanity. And "[deleted]" is the laziest chant ever. Followed closely by the univentive "Hey Hey Goodbye" song when sung to an opponent you're supposed to beat.

The Mob did seem to be chanting something funny to the redhead on Monmouth. Sounded sort of like "Lucky Charms" but I don't think that is what it was.

And here is the "Avuncular" letter from Duke President Terry Sanford. Larry Brown has essentially requested the same thing from SMU students.

Posting a letter or anything concerning the puke blue devils is enough to get me ejected. No one cares about Duke, their president or their little rules.

The visiting team coach was laughing at some of the chants earlier in the night. SMU needs to sit opposing team parents or "fans" in the bleachers next to our band. Crazy to sit them in our student section or anywhere close to it.

As far as the ejections go, they can't eject the entire student section.. So just be loud and intimidating. Make the visitors not want to sit there or anywhere near you.

Costumes will make you a target - so be prepared to get ejected and next man up.

I know they're on break, put pitiful student and alum support tonight.

if the mob had the same greek make up as last year these ejections honestly may have quickly lead to arrests. Kids in the stands would have flipped out and it would just grow. just a different type of student this year.

Packed house, they don't get ejected. The fallout would have been too much to handle.

Crab looked really pissed when Luigi was axed, then especially pissed when he was tossed. Hope this sparks a fire.

Yeah, and it sucks horribly this year. Give me a guy who will be rowdy and potentially get arrested all day over the current ones. It isn't me getting arrested so I don't care.

Option 1 - dork city in the stands who collectively suck at cheering; option 2 - kids who might get arrested for being too rowdy and will also get your a rep for having a nasty crowd.

Option 1! Right guys!?

Agreed, but the Greeks knew the rules on how to get MOB tickets and apparently didn't do it. That's on the Greeks

Throwing out Lobster Man and and others? Not acceptable. Who listens to opposing fans anyway. It is our home court. Should be our home security as well. Unless of course something goes way overboard. I can't imagine anything close to that last night. I think the Louisiville game from last year is our litmus test.

True, but they need to do something. The new "mob" is more like kindergarten bully.

I'm a fan of cheering like crazy for YOUR team and at the right times ("de-fense"! when really needed and going apeshit when a great play happens). I'm not all that crazy about cheering AGAINST the other team, unless they do something stupid and DEFINITELY ride a jerk player/coach like zorro. General rudeness/meanness for no reason is low class IMHO. There's an art to this and it seems we need some training. I'm available at $1,000/hour. Someone tell SID. :-)
