CoL always bothered me because I saw more students there than any athletic event when I was in school (late 2000s). So never a huge fan, plus I was always cramming for finals and wasting a few hours to watch Christmas lights be turned on was a waste of time to me.

What a terrible hire.....unproven, unknown, and undeserving. Most P-5 schools have the luxury of turning to a coordinator type for head coach, but not a minor league team on life support. How is this not Phil Bennett repeat?...High paid dominate D-Coordinator for Kansas State, Texas Roots, no-nonsense, committed to recruiting DFW etc....

We needed a Gruden-Harbaugh type splash, and we got a Phil Bennett Part II. Next four years will be the final paragraph of SMU Football's obituary....
