This will be a crushing lose for UConn, too.

Cincy can beat anyone on any given night with their defense. But they don't really have a go to player offensively, and it costs them some games. They also struggle in the half court because they don't have a traditional post up player. They get some great passing down low, but don't really post up.

The only reason they beat us in the first game was because they had the one guard that went off on us.

I watched the game today. ECU really played well defensively. Cincy wasn't missing open shots, they had to pass a work exceptionally hard just to get a decent look. And ECU hit just enough shots to pull it out. I came away from watching that game thinking that ECU just turned it up a couple of notches defensively and that Cincy had trouble with it in the half court. It looked like Cincy has a few guys on the perimeter that are like Keith - they fumble the ball just enough to slow the ball movement down, and they aren't strong enough physically to withstand high pressure.

Houston leads UConn by 15 with 11 minutes to go.

Goodness.

All this means is our conference is ripe for the taking this year. We should win a conference title. Tulsa looked very beatable yesterday.

I couldn't help but check on the UConn message board, knowing they're going to go into meltdown mode if they lose this.

Found this gem though, since it's apparently the league's fault...

Was it the league's fault when they won the national championship 10 months ago?
