UH chair: Legislature should force UH to BigXII

I think the most logical additions from the Big 12's standpoint are Cincinnati and either Memphis or UCF. But I think Texas would rather leave for the Pac-12 than share a conference with any of them

Big 12 isn't adding anyone until UT or OU gets hosed out of a playoff spot. Everything else is just silly.

Say SMU continue on an upward trend in basketball and becomes a top 3 football team in AAC, any shot of us moving to another conference? Say ACC, for example?

Don't care what Coog High do as long as we are continuing to upgrade ourselves.

Need to do well in attendance in football (something we've struggled with) in addition to doing well on the field.

This TX/OU to Pac 12 is and always has been nonsense. Not saying there wasn't discussion but it never got serious. Those two like controlling the Big 12 - they don't gain enough by moving to risk being out voted on everything they care about. Also - they don't bring enough to the pac 12 to be worth splitting the pie 4 extra ways if you believe they cant leave without bringing their little brothers.

Aggie had a different equation. If UT was going to treat them like Baylor, they might as well go the SEC and get more money and a better conference.. They had nothing to lose and mostly upside. UT and OU both have a different equation.

Actually OU & UT would bring enough to the table to justify a Pac-16. The renegotiated TV deals along with deeper penetration of the Pac-12 Network would bring more money to all parties.

My point is that they are not going to accept two nothing schools to add to the list. Those are valuable spots. No way they go to the TV markets of Lubbock and Stillwater.

What was the main topic of conversation, the quality of this year's basketball team, the issues surrounding contracts at the stadium, or the football opener against UTSA last year? Maybe what Herman did to end up in 2nd place interviewing at SMU?
