I saw that. Just hoping SMU reserved some downtown but I am sure they are 3-4 times what you and I saw
Downtown are $350 a night.....
We booked a hotel in a nearby town and are just going to drive. We saved a pretty good amount and got a nicer room. (It's about the same as our drive from the suburbs to Moody.)

Thanks I have to have a rental car as flights out of Austin were outrageous unless I flew to Nashville

Gonna use UBER in town so don't need a rental. I had booked out of Nashville too until i found a few alternative flights into Louisville direct. See you out there!

I looked there. I saw that they charge you for the first night regardless when you cancelled so I waited to book it until I knew for sure....

Makes more sense. I checked last night so the charges were different.

Sheraton Four Points. Mustang Club failed to help out with lodging like they said they would.

Yeah, talked to Mustang Club and they said SMU's allotted hotel slots were only enough for team/family.
Trying to wiggle my way in as a band "chaperone", but otherwise, looks like I'll be staying by the airport.

Yeah I got a call but the least they could do is let everyone know earlier. Half assed attempt by our staff

Last year with the NIT plus the bowl games a few years ago, I have realized it's better to just take care of accommodations/travel on my own. Either they won't have anything or it's going to be way overpriced.
