favorite non football moment at fordJust tryjng to stir up aomw interesting conversqtiom before the spring game.
Mine was at the marshall game of 2010. I was 20 and I was in the line for nachos or something with some friends when I noticed that the girl at the concessions stand was incredibly cute. When I got up to the front I started flirting with her and she was instantly receptive and we had a good little back and forth going. It was going so well that I felt confident enough to invite her out that night with my friends so I could work my game a bit more. I did and she was genuinely flattered by the offer but before she had a chance to answer a conniving female friend of mine (who had a bit of jealous motives in doing this) came up and wrapped her hands over my arm, put her head on my shoulder and called me babe. I was so shocked I stood there mouth open, looking at the girl at the concession stand while she stared at me in disbelief. Long story short:I did not get her number after all. I was angry at the time but looking back on it I love that story. Anyone else have any good ones?
Re: favorite non football moment at fordMy freshman brother spotting vandals from TCU that had spray paint in their backpacks called the police and had them picked up. That's the reason they now keep the lights on and some yellow jackets there the week before the TCU game, at least the next few years I lived on campus.

Re: favorite non football moment at fordSeeing that red fox charging at me and my son at a football game, only to veer off at the last second and make an incredibly athletic leap into the club seats comes to mind. I had never heard of the fox at Ford before then, so it blew my mind. My son and I were staring at each other in disbelief. Since then, I've actually seen the fox make an appearance on TV.
Also, the drunk frat guy who wandered onto the field, grabbed a Nevada helmet, and walked into their huddle is one of the greatest things I've ever seen, inside or outside Ford. I think he also got a drink out of their Gatorade cooler.
Re: favorite non football moment at fordNevada game guy, hands down.
Re: favorite non football moment at fordTearing down the goal posts after beating La Tech my freshman year in 2002 with maybe 500 people watching in the fourth quarter.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: favorite non football moment at ford
I was at the game and relieved just not to go O'fer on the season...especially blowing the lead against San Jose just a couple weeks prior. #Beat Clemson
Re: favorite non football moment at fordNevada helmet-gate followed closely by BUS' shoe launching tirade.
Re: favorite non football moment at ford
I got to witness both
Re: favorite non football moment at fordWouldn't the Nevada incident be a "football" moment. He did get some playing time, or at least huddle time.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: favorite non football moment at ford
The look on the Nevada players faces was priceless. Truly one of the greatest moments in SMU football during our walk through the desert of that decade. Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: favorite non football moment at fordFavorites: Nevada guy, endzone fire, and a streaker during a pep rally
Least favorites: the 2014 season (definitely counts as a "non-football" moment), the 115+ degrees on the field during the Kansas game (I've never been hotter in my life), and the Mustang Maniac/Noid thing jumping around on the sideline Sent from my Motorola brick.
Re: favorite non football moment at fordThe entire 2014 was the least entertaining season of SMU football I've experienced. It was just awful.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Not as good as Mr.Mustang1965's violent explosion of ice chards across the top rows of Ford Stadium "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
