Do we have to take the clip out of our 9mm or will they just assume it is loaded and let us go on in?

told SO about this policy and in all seriousness she asked if she could "place my purse in it" and that would count. I'll be frank I never even thought of that. As much as it pains me, but should we be following the same policies as two other private schools with decent football teams. I haven't seen any of them doing this.

Although I don't think people are going to be all that upset about this - it is a comical overkill situation on security for and SMU football game.

This is one area we can afford to be a follower and let the bigger schools lead. when UT goes to this then maybe we should think about it. Until then we should tell our insurance co to stuff it. There are lots of options out there for insurance.

Gunfights in the bleachers

Actually had that happen at a HS game back in 1990 during halftime. Of course, we were playing Roosevelt at Sprague.

We had knife fights now and then in El Paso. I don't recall any guns though.

To add a voice to the angry mob: this is a horrible decision and it would be worth paying the extra premium to the insurance co. not to imement it. This mainly affects our female 'fans,' many of whom will let not being allowed their purse tip the scales toward not entering the game; to thing SMU/HP/Dallas women are going to forego their designer handbags for clear vinyl is senseless. This needs fixing before The Baylor kickoff
