Captains: Troy Castle (#26, DB), Chad Hedlund (#27, K), Garrett Krstich (#14, QB/H), Jonathan Yenga (#1, LB)

Honorary Captain: SMU running back Reggie Dupard. During his tenure on the Hilltop (1982-85), Dupard was selected All-America (1985) and set the school record for average yards per carry (5.9). Dupard's success led him to become a first-round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 1986.

- Was 17-125 rushing, his 3rd straight 100-yard game and 4th of his career (in 7 starts)
- Had a 50-yard rushing TD and a 14 yard rushing TD (50 yards was 2nd longest of his career, 51 at Tulsa 11/8/14)
- 17-24-171 with 2 TDs passing
- Tied career-best 2 TD passes (also had 2 vs. Baylor 9/4/15)

David Johnson (#4, DB) - Had 1st career fumble recovery and 1st career interception

Xavier Jones (#10, RB) - Had 109 total yards (was 13-94 rushing, 2-15 receiving)

Justin Lawler (#99, DL) - Career-high 6 tackles (was 4) as well as his first career sack & first career pass breakup

Ryheem Malone (#13, WR) – Career-high 6 receptions (Was 6-38 receiving)

Andrew McCleneghen (#95, DE) – Had his first career sack and first two career forced fumbles (3 total tackles)

Darrion Richardson (#29, FS) – Had 5 tackles, 1 TFL and 1 pass breakup

Horace Richardson (#9, CB) – Had his 1st interception of the season, 3rd of his career (had 2 tackles)

Courtland Sutton (#16, WR)
- Was 5-65 receiving w/ 1 TD
- Career-best 5 receptions
- Had a 27-yard receiving TD, second straight game (had 2 TDs vs. Baylor 9/4/15)

Zach Wood (#90, DL) - Co-team-high 6 tackles

Jonathan Yenga (#1, LB) – Had 1st career fumble recovery
