They did all they could do to not score and worked to run out the clock.

I have two issues.
Offensive pass interference on the pass for TD. REALLY a no call with the ref right there.

And two, On our fourth down play the d-back turned out guy sideways and could not catch the pass..... Well... no call again.

We are getting better.
YEAH.

I don't blame GP at all. I would've done the same.

If it were reversed and SMU punched it in on Patterson then he would be at podium "We don't act like that at TCU" blah blah blah.

I left a Broncos game once that was a 3 possession game with 1:20 left and missed overtime. You don't give up the ball when you can end the game.

I don't care much about the last TD either (personally, I would have downed the ball), but want to add a couple more plays:
- third down, Sutton was interfered with before the 4th down non-call. So, two plays in a row.
- After TCU scored to go up by 11, on their extra point they committed the single worst non-called holding penalty I have ever seen on our guy running free up the middle. Doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme, but it was the worst ever incident of holding I have ever seen not called.

I didn't really see the big deal either. If we were in a position to be in a playoff argument later in the season we'd want the margin of victory as well.

Not something to dwell on. Disappointed we couldn't pull it out but excited for the future after this one.

You want to go to the playoffs? Don't give up 37. By that point, 49 and 56 meant the same thing - a win in a test.

If I was GP, I would have taken a knee. I don't think the 56 vs. 49 points are optically that much better. He has a lot of injuries right now. He could have ended the game with almost zero further contact for his players. That has to start being a consideration for him.

We have to take this one like a P5 team and not whine about it. They ran the ball on out defensive line and did not pass the ball. Let's not act like soft spoiled brats on this issue.

I have no problem with them trying to score at the end. We just didn't stop them. Plain and simple. Proud of our guys. And as has been mentioned by myself and others, we could have won this one on about 2-3 key plays.

The most positive thing I see here is:

- We did not stay with them because of trick plays or flukey weird stuff or they turned the ball over 5 times. We played them toe to toe and traded blows. Very very encouraging. Demonstrated tremendous toughness. And the mistakes are something we can learn from and improve upon.
