Patterson is a classless coach but I didn't expect him not to go for it. I used it as a lesson for my son. TCU sucks and I look forward to whooping them in the near future.

Whether TCU should have scored or not at the end I'm sure it will be remembered and make the win next year that much more fulfilling! :)

As for the missed calls, it looked to me like the officials let TCU play a rough game. I thought there could have been an offensive interference call or two also. It seems that TCU always plays out on the ledge and tests the officials throughout the game. I think that is just part of their game.

I think the goal in the near future is to beat them even if they did not score on their last possession.

Chad Morris took a knee to end the nts game, but, to each his own.

Of the group I think of as the [former] Arkansas triumvirate I've yet to see a note from ponyte but I agree with mrydel including his comment about protecting the starters and Arkpony.

On the other hand, the comments about playoffs are also pertinent especially after the Baylor and TCU experience last season. Basically non-hurtful and less hurtful outcomes may have a place for children playing in rec leagues but not at this level.

Also, SMU made a good showing although we should remember that TCU was missing some players.

This is not valid criticism PERIOD.

They weren't doing anything special but running the ball

Take it as a compliment that they felt the need to continue to score on us. It means they never felt comfortable in the game and no lead was safe.

Disagree. I am not mad or upset, but look at it this way. If the game was within one score, no way do you run the ball. You take a knee to insure there is not a freakish fumble and return for a TD, like happened to SMU a few years ago when we had our first shutout in umpteen years spoiled when we tried to run one in late and the FCS team we were playing did just that. Thus the fact he ran the ball means he was running up the score. Not classy.

Again, the fact he did it does not make me upset or mad. It just shows he was more concerned with style points than winning, and I am sad that this is what the game has become today.

Don't blame them a bit. Style points matter these days and they were just running. We should stacked the box.

That is my point. I hate that style points have become necessary. The game itself used to have some integrity.

Sure, they were running the ball, but they weren't exactly taking their time to snap the ball either. IMO GP wanted the points no matter what, was moderately aggressive but did not call plays that appeared overly aggressive. Smart. We look bad (we didn't stop them so rightfully so) and he doesn't look like the culer-o that he is.

I have two issues.
Offensive pass interference on the pass for TD. REALLY a no call with the ref right there.

And two, On our fourth down play the d-back turned out guy sideways and could not catch the pass..... Well... no call again.

We are getting better.
YEAH.

You're right about those two plays and we're light years better in game 3 than I could've hoped for.

Valid criticism. MRydel - for the win.
