Re: What Twitter is sayingroad trip can be a party...it's all about priorities
Re: What Twitter is sayingLast years play was tough to watch. A few years ago, things were looking better until June completely gave up. As a fan base that has been beaten down so much, it is hard to get excited. I don't think anyone was expecting much this year from the spot JJ left us in, but they are lightyears better than I expected. The wins will come sooner than later and so will the fans. We had a hard time getting the students to stay at our home games, much less travel. They have already made a big improvement in that area.
Worst part about being at that game...the traffic leaving was brutal. 45 minutes just to get to I-30.
Re: What Twitter is sayingAwesome that this turned into an attendance thread. Good thing too - we have never talked about attendance before.

SMU has built a ton of enthusiasm over there in Dallas and that makes all of us better. Awesome for all of us.
Re: What Twitter is saying
Agree. Lot of "red seats" empty for TCU.
Re: What Twitter is saying
Pretty easy thing to do when you're coming off a season where you were both in the National Title conversation and again this season as well (plus being ranked in the top 5) compared to coming off a season that ranks as one of the worst in all of college football history offensively at least. Time is what it's going to take to build it up. Games like the first half vs Baylor and last night will only help us going forward on the field and in the stands. It's the same thing June got angry over, one win over a ranked team isn't going to bring EVERYONE out like we want. It's going to take multiple wins and competing for conference titles etc etc and getting in that picture where the national media can't ignore us. ![]()
Re: What Twitter is sayingWe traveled very well for the game at aggy with the botched onside.. Several student buses etc. Ditto the first game of season at Baylor not last year but what three or four years ago? We p!ssed down our legs both times. The 50-75 that post on this board can weather that, but most can't

Re: What Twitter is saying
What are you people talking about? That was the third largest crowd TCU has had in that stadium. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: What Twitter is sayingFirst, anyone comparing current attendance for us and Baylor and TCU is a [deleted] moron. Just stop...talking, typing, breathing.
Second, the school must do more to entice the students to attend games like this. Busses, contests, prizes, tickets....hookers, blow, whatever it takes. Third, the casual fan will come work success...measured in seasons, not just individual victories. HCCM knows this and has expressed as much. We need to worry about getting the alumni base and students there now, and let the team get the casual fan there soon. Heck, at current levels, we might start to get some UT converts from the DFW area. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
