"We're gonna need a bigger kite..." stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: SMU Swag Copter
You are affirming the stereotype that SMU uses Bing (from the TCU fan sign) Leader of the Band-itos.

Re: SMU Swag CopterThe only thing I don't like about this is that it was announced beforehand. I think it would have had a bigger impact if it happened and then was explained. It loses some of the shock value.
Saban did this a couple of years ago. http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index ... kes_1.html Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall
Re: SMU Swag CopterSo is Coach Morris using this to expand his half a tank of gas recruiting radius?
Re: SMU Swag CopterChoppers have big gas tanks.
Re: SMU Swag Copter
No, he is just getting to more games in one day in the area by using the copter and getting to them in style. Last edited by Rebel10 on Tue Sep 22, 2015 11:51 am, edited 2 times in total.

Re: SMU Swag Copter
Someday, Pegasus might be cool to include on our helmet as part of a Celebrate Dallas theme. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: SMU Swag CopterMaybe (likely perhaps?) it was done earlier but the first time I remember an airborne coach in connection with recruiting was Bobby Collins on NLI day the year Jerry Ball was signed. IIRC a USA Today article mentioned that Collins and Sherrill (ATM) both flitted around getting signatures and said it was an innovation. Private jets then, helos today, and during recruiting. Progress.
Re: SMU Swag Copter
I think that's a cool idea. I'm crossing my fingers for a state fair game at the Cotton Bowl again some day.
Re: SMU Swag CopterA neon red Pegasus would look pretty cool on a blue helmet or maybe even on a helmet that looks like the sky with stars and stuff like that.
Shake It Off Moody
Re: SMU Swag CopterMeh
Pegasus One not near as cool as bigger, saddled, horse ridden, not wild Ponies Liberty and Justice "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
