Be patient, we'll be okay

Postby Rebel10 » Sun Sep 27, 2015 8:15 am

Just need some time to rebuild. Need more speed and athleticism. We are not a very athletic team right now. I do think the players give good effort and don't give up. As I said before I don't think we should look at the season record this year just for improvement and getting some players experience on the the system.

It will come, just give it time. We'll win twice as many games next year as this year, and then the following year we will be contending for a AAC title. I believe in this coach.

Rebuilding a program is never a straight graph line. There are always outliers to the good and outliers to the bad.

Agree on giving it time. Nic Saban lost to ULM in his first year at Alabama. And in Alabama losing to a Sunbelt team is pretty bad. But they gave Saban time to rebuild and it has paid really good dividends.

I support this thread. Say what you say about UT, but I see these two programs headed in the right direction.

I rarely post on here because I normally don't like to engage in time wasting activities, like defending UT from the old school folks around here.

Anyways, I support both schools, I've got an education from both...and I think they're both headed in the right way after abysmal performances the last couple of years.

Hook Em, Pony Up...you got a problem...direct message me.

True, the difference is one of those coaches will get plenty of time to show results and the other won't.

Strong should get some time one would think. Unless ut is completely horrendous with no upward trajectory they're not going to be in a hurry to bring in someone else to tear everything down again to build up from scratch

We have to remember this is a rebuilding situation not a reloading situation. We need to temper our expectations this years and just look for improvement. Just because we heard reports about how certain areas of the team looked in Spring etc, remember when lower talented teams do well playing in Spring practice it's because they are going lower level talent is going against lower level talent so any improvement will look better than what it really will be going against teams with even average talent. We just need to get better players in here.

Agree with everything here. We need more speed and athleticism, and more depth -- a lot more depth.

I wanted to puke after the game, but the improvement over last year is obvious. Long way to go, but at least pointed in the right direction.

I believe they are pointed in the right direction as well.
