Thomas and Sutton on the field at the same time

Postby Rebel10 » Mon Sep 28, 2015 6:25 am

Thomas has shown this weekend is a big play receiver with really good hands. He just needs the ball thrown to him more. If you put Thomas and Sutton on the fields at the same time you have 2 big play downfield receivers out there. Just a thought.

Sutton comes out after every downfield pass. I think Morris is trying to swap them because they are the only true big targets we have, as long as he redshirts Honey. Ace has been in a few times, but primarily as a blocker.

Kind of interesting though that Thomas isn't being sent deep like Sutton is. Mostly underneath stuff.

The biggest problem with the passing game is we are currently terrible at hitting passes on intermediate routes - especially over the middle.

Over time, I expect that to improve.

Thomas did go deep this weekend as we saw and he also went deep against TCU but has some bad deep passes against TCU. I would definitely let Honey redshirt.
