We need to bury the football!

Postby DanFreibergerForHeisman » Mon Sep 28, 2015 9:09 pm

This team seems to be motivated by all of the standard motivational stuff like carrying axes and stuff like that, so we should make a big deal out of burying a football and moving on to East Carolina.

I understand what the axe means but what does burying a football symbolize?

Well...it could involve the o-line making a hole for the ball, and the d-line filling a hole...so that would be nice.

Teams have symbolically buried a football or game tape to symbolize putting a bad game behind them and moving forward with a fresh start.

It seems like it's on the motivational level of this team based on the axe and videos.

It would also entail cutting a hole through the artificial turf.

I will donate one square foot of top surface for the digging of a hole at spot 83 on the Boulevard.
Nice grass but be careful not to dig too deep and hit the secret tunnels.
