Gotta be TCU. They were extra full of themselves after beating a fraudulent OU. It was great to knock them down a few pegs.

It was the game where I said I'd jump in the fountain if we won...

That was the best swim ever.

Seasoned not old.

As long as I stay fat, it stretches my skin and keeps me from having wrinkles. Heavy I look younger than my age, when I lose weight on occasion, I look as old as I feel. You might say I am heavily seasoned.

Seeing the Frogs with a big old 1 in their loss column and knowing that we denied them a perfect season. Priceless.

BUT... The UTEP game proves ( to me ) that this team can perform under pressure.

WE kicked the crap out of UTEP on a day when they should have been ready to eat our lunch. This third win in a row had everyone in the stands beaming. It has been a long time since the stands were that electric.
More people stayed and more people were loud.

UTEP game for me.

I can understand where you're coming from on that one.

The UTEP game there weren't a ton of SMU fans there like the TCU game (well we didn't have a lot but there were more than the UTEP game)..but we were by far a lot louder than any game in the past 3 seasons.

Man does it feel good watching this TCU game over again though. I just got my DVDs of the TCU and UAB games last night and watfching the faces on the Frogs...man what a great night.

BTW did anyone else notice how biased these announcers are?

It was nice to actually be favored over the bye this year...

And beating Marshall was a lot of fun... oh wait... damn refs...

Two of the most fun, most exciting wins I can remember came this season. TCU and UAB... I will long remember those wins. I do have to say that for many reasons UTEP was the most important win. Going out on a high note. WInning the final three in a row - hey folks, we're starting next year on a winning streak - totally pounding a team that was ranked the week prior... I dunno, those last three wins in a row... I mean SMU just looked like they were the better team each week (clearly we are a better team than Rice.. but Hatfield had our number for years) and I haven't felt that way in years.

Finishing strong, after having our mettle tested many times over the year, really bodes well for a strong season next year...

But this thread was entitled favorite win...

TCU... we just stomped 'em. A TOP 25 team, and we took 'em behind the wood shed. It wasn't a blowout, sure, but the game never was close. Man, it felt nice to repay 'em for '97 and bring 'em down when they were on the top of the world.

Sure wish we had beat Baylor the week before. We just folded in that game. DeMyron should have played.

Sleeper Win

Postby horn787 » Sat Dec 03, 2005 10:04 pm

TCU was definetly the Ponies best win. Personally I don't think there's any arguing that.

UAB was also great, what a play!

But let's not forget, we beat Houston....not long ago, they beat us 95-17 in the biggest display of low class. Listening to the comments made by the players and coaches makes me believe that their program has not changed a whole lot.

In other words, it makes me happy to beat them, just becuase they have no soul.
