Toledo with second loss. Temple can earn conference some money by beating UCONN

Remember what happened last time you guys played for a conference championship and a major bowl?

Wouldn't it be ironic if........

Are we sure Navy will drop below both Houston and Temple? Either Houston or Temple will lose one more.

the CHAMPION of the Conference gets the Major Bowl Bid-I wasn't sure either but its been reported several times

UH did get kind of screwed dropping out of Top 25 (in computer rankings-they were No. 21 in AP) with only 1 loss while Toledo was in. Especially since their QB was hurt. Voters should immediately rectify that mistake after Greg Ward's performance-I think UH deserves about No. 16 17 at least with only 1 loss in quality conference and undefeated with Ward at QB

I sure thought it was highest ranked by the gurus in the private room. I guess that was the big deal in announcing TCU and Baylor as co-champions in the conference of one true champion.

I've found about 4-5 blogs and message boards that say the G5 Access spot is based on highest ranked champion but nothing too authoritative-heard it on TV about 3 times too. Its different than the National Championship playoff- I think the SEC and other conference nixed the Top 4 Champions for Playoff

Herman and his staff, have done a tremendous job in their first year. Held Navy to 200 yards below their average; and hung 52 points on them, with a shaky qb situation.

BTW I make a lot of jokes about the horrible high school QB recruiting of June Jones-but he almost hit on one with the C.J. Bethard at Iowa. Remember he had no offers but SMU already had a commitment I think from that Tyler Harris kid from Georgia who decommitted and went to UCF (and now 3rd string on an 0-12 team). Well by the time SMU had an opening Iowa had just gotten involved so we lost Bethard when he could have been ours. 11-0

double checked

it was actually Neal Burchum who was committed to SMU. C.J. Bethard was June's backup plan to a QB who never won a College game he started. June knew Bethard's father Bobby Bethard from NFL's Kansas City Chiefs

It just gets better and better reliving June's high school QB recruiting. Brain Type

TCU v Baylor

What a let down-both had great seasons-considering what they faced but its gonna be played in cold rain with Baylor playing a third string QB and TCU with a hobbled QB, without perhaps best receiver in the Country and probably their 5th and 6th LBs-lost count. Could have been an All-time Classic tonite

Bernard was committed to Tennessee when June offered him. Then Hec switched his to Iowa later.

It was Ole Miss but Hugh Freeze came in and he wasn't a great fit for his offense so he had been looking around-didn't commit to Iowa until week before signing date-there were all kinds of articles on SMU sites saying he was a backup option to Burchum and he wanted to play in a passing offense-several articles on Rivals about SMU-you should have known that-REBEL

Can we please get a Julius Lewis type DB? The true freshman just made a helluva interception for the froggies but they called roughing the passer. Lewis was a 2-star athlete out of Mansfield. Only offers were TCU and Rice. Patterson is so good at getting athletes and finding a position for them.
