Looks like the Baylor offense could be headed to Syracuse.

Haha, nothing should ever head to Syracuse. I've been there. The only positive from the trip was Dinosaur BBQ downtown.

What an AMunch. Born and raised in CNY and still go back to the finger lakes every summer. Sorry your one trip was uneventful. Thankfully you found at least one place to feed your pie hole.

Dino Babers to UCF

Postby mrydel » Sat Dec 05, 2015 12:18 pm

Lived in Ithaca for a year and really liked it. However total snowfall for the year I was there was less than it was in Galvaston, TX.

Great town - can't beat the summers and fall (real fall - great colors) in CNY - just head south before thanksgiving!

Haha, my apologies. I went to a wedding last year in Ithaca as well. Pretty in late summer, can't imagine what it's like in the winter though.

We had one 5" snow all winter. Of course it did not melt until spring. Galveston had two 3" snows which, of course melted in about an hour after each.

We went and walked around Cornell. Beautiful campus, but wow would you get a workout in every day walking up all the hills.

Had a Cornell Ag department run pig farm about 1/4 mile from my home. Prevailing wind keep the odor away, but when it would occasionally flip, oh my it stunk.

As a former resident of Ithaca, the best description of winter is that Ithaca is the town where clouds go to die. Significantly less snow than Syracuse, just south enough to miss most of the lake effect snow. Everyday is overcast gray, between 15 & 22 degrees (windchill can be brutal) and the old snow that finally disappears in late March/early April.
