I have never been so cold, we we're afraid of SMU (everyone was in those days). The Sun Bowl stadium is beautiful. No points by Bama In the second half, just shivering!
All week the temps had been in the 60's and 70's, then dropped 40 degrees in 6 hours, the morning of the game. They gave us long coats to wear on the sideline, but at first I didn't want to put mine on because I had family in the stands and they couldn't see my name on the back of my jersey if I put the coat on. Kids have odd priorities, sometimes. By halftime I didn't care anymore. The Mustang Club left my dad behind. He stuck around to wait outside the locker room, but everyone else was freezing and pissed off about the game, and they convinced the bus driver that all hands were on board. The bus left the stadium without him, and then the charter plane took off short one passenger. Fortunately the team plane had an open seat, so he still got back to Dallas. That was CHristmas eve, and naturally I had a major cold on CHristmas Day. Thats what you get when you stand around in sub-freezing weather without a coat.

Baylor has destroyed its all time rushing record in that infamous SMU game after DP where they didn't pass the ball once. Final numbers were 648 yards rushing -record broken by over 200 yards

I think that is an All-Time Bowl Rushing Record
Now watch Fournette break it against TT defense

Looks like LSU is manhandling Tech physically. Had a couple of good conversions but the Tech boys are going to get pretty banged up tonight.

start of 4th Quarter and LSU has 22 hurries (6 sacks) on Patrick Mahomes but he's doing a great job in the passing game-4 TDs. I doubt Tech has any yards rushing. I said this a few weeks ago but Mahomes is a Top NFL prospect with 2 years left. Tech lead nation in Total Offense in regular season
Never seen a stat like 22 hurries but he's got great escabability and throws a 93 mph fastball. To me is more impressive than the Memphis QB as an NFL prospect. I bet NFL scouts will be checking the video on this one

I know it's strategy and all but I hate to see a team like LSU who is better than a little ole Texas Tech team flop. Mice....!!!!

I was at the Texas Bowl. I know many folks have commented that the TTU fans were obnoxious. That is not even close. Seems they only communicate with 4 words. You, up, guns & f---
