We all knew this before the game but Gonzaga is very well coached and lucky to have Mark Few. Let's all hope after Larry is gone that Jank or whoever takes over can give us similar continuing success.

When you think about Few, you have to talk about consistency. Would be a helluva run for us to come close to what they have done.

He gets so much out of his players. VERY well coached teams and they don't kill themselves.

DBB, since you are a Duke fan, how would you compare Few with K? Obviously K has had more success but also a bigger platform upon which to build. Two of the greatest, for sure.

i think you have to give Few more credit - he has less to work conference wise = and gets more out of it for sure. Gonzaga has perfected the art of the transfer - we should take note of that. Feels like we slowed down in that area.

I was having a conversation with a very knowledgeable guy who preps high school too 150 types for college.

He has a ton of respect for LB. I asked him who he thought might be on par or close to LB as a coach (as opposed to a recruiter).

His answer: Few and Jay Wright.

I don't think there is much comparison really, other than being really good coaches. K started out being a better tactician and got A LOT out of average to slightly above average. Now, he gets anyone he wants and quite frankly I am not sure his coaching is as important. Few gets above average talents and still coaches them up. His guys don't beat themselves, which I like a lot. They tend to take good shots and their defense is always good. I think Few is closer to LB than K.

Few has a horrible record against the Top 25. He has only won 33% of his games against top ranked opponents. Still think he is an excellent coach.
