Time to root for Houston and Tulsa

Postby PonyTime » Fri Feb 19, 2016 11:31 am

Temple @ HOU
Temple @ Tulsa

We really need both of them to knock Temple off - only chance for us to win the conference at this point- as we don't want to have to rely on Memphis getting anything done late in the season against Temple and UCF/Tulane have little chance.

It's a realistic possibility that they lose both, Houston blew Temple out of their own gym early in conference play. So, it's not too far-fetched to think they could do it again in Houston. Then, Temple has to play a second road game on a very quick turnaround (similar to Gonzaga coming here) at Tulsa. I would have expected Tulsa to be tough on their homecourt, anyway, but Temple will come in without much rest or preparation, and I wouldnt be surprised if Tulsa won by a wide margin.

I agree that the rest of Temples schedule is likely to go in their favor, conference title hinges on the Houston-Tulsa road trip. Realistically I think they will split the 2 games, win at houston, lose at Tulsa.

I think it is still realistic. Win out and hope Temple drops one, maybe two. Not going to be easy but this is it. I expect the guys to leave it all on the floor in these last five games.
