I agree with everyone about the old days and really hated when opposing fans could out yell us. As recently as the CUSA days UTEP always had a good number of fans and made a lot of noise.

One of the biggest problems we always had when competing with other fans is that outside of chanting SMU SMU SMU there are zero other organized chants. A few hundred people chanting in unison can make some serious noise in Moody and make their presence seem much greater than it is.

I was too, but as a grade-schooler. Amazing game.

As an SMU student, remember standing in the corners during the entire game as the pullout bleachers were packed.
