Numbers from the first meeting that bear watching:

• Three Huskies scored in double figures: Brimah had 16, Hamilton had 14, Miller had 12
• Miller and Brimah shot efficiently: Miller hit 5 of 8 from the floor, Brimah 6 of 8
• Brimah had 5 blocked shots, the same total as SMU team
• SMU hit just 50 percent (5-10) on free throws

UCONN's length defensively is bothering us again. The can play us tight on the perimeter because we can't make them pay on dribble drive.

Love the intensity of both teams. This is what makes college basketball the best.

SMU making highlight plays (i.e. Ben Moore's breakaway dunk) ... but Connecticut has answers — 16-16.

Been a theme the last few years. Seems like SMU is controlling the game but the score doesn't indicate that. It is because of the threes differential.

Ponies squandering turn over opportunities and free throw chances. Hope they do not pay the price for failure to take advantage of these.
