"I'm going to miss this moment," Moore told the sellout crowd after the game.
But not as much as that crowd is going to miss Moore.

So true.

"They're going to retire Nic's jersey, I bet," SMU coach Larry Brown said.
His jersey No. 11 certainly belongs in the rafters with the 53 of Jon Koncak and the 32 of Jim Krebs. The three seasons Moore spent on the court rival the success of any era of SMU basketball.

I talked to Ira Terrell after the game last night about the possibility of Nic's # being retired and how it might also lead to his # retirement as well. He said LB is all for it, but that it's out of his hands. Any idea who makes that decision ultimately?

Obviously, athletic department personnel couldn't care less about retired/honored numbers. None of them are alums and are generally short-timers compared to the seasoned SMU basketball fan. I'm quite sure David Miller could make one call and it would get done. Who th' hell is going to say "NO"? Why is this so dang difficult??

He also said Gene Phillips should already have his number retired too. Agree.
