Re: Tulane coaching searchTurned down better jobs than Tulane.
Re: Tulane coaching searchScott Drew left Valpo in 2003 for Baylor and I don't think anyone wanted that job at the time.
As for Bryce, i not familiar with what he has been offered and turned down. Was it a P5 job? SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Forget which ones but yes. Some talking heads said he is more loyal than his brother and is waiting for a few other schools to open up to make a move. Tulane friend said they aren't going to open the wallet like we did for Larry
Re: Tulane coaching searchIf that's the case, they will probably have to take a chance on a small school coach with little to no buzz. If I was Tulane I'd call Cross at UTA.

Re: Tulane coaching searchI've wondered why he has stayed at UTA so long and hasn't moved up
Re: Tulane coaching searchI know he was born and raised in Arlington, played at UTA and now coaches at UTA. I did hear him say it will take a special job for him to leave UTA, but we know that really means money. I bet several schools will look his way this off season. He's only 41.

Re: Tulane coaching searchIf they want to take a chance get the Little Rock coach, Chris Beard.

Re: Tulane coaching search
Because it is impossible to win at Tulane!!! Something like 80% of their students are from out of state and most leave after graduation. Result - NO is NOT full of Tulane grads. SMU's attendance/fan interest problems pale in comparison to Tulane's. When a guy is on the path to a good job, taking a bad one is ... Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Tulane coaching searchI don't think Cross is going anywhere soon

Re: Tulane coaching searchTulane openly says they won't pay to win, but remember it's RGT who hates athletics and is secretly trying to destroy them here.
